On 19-21 July in Denver, Colorado, OOPSLA is sponsoring the second annual Midyear Conference consisting of three day workshops devoted to Applied Object Technology. These workshops will bring together practitioners to share experiences and issues in the implementation of real world object systems.
The goal is to lay the foundation for future expanded meetings at OOPSLA and other applied object technology conferences. Detailed information for the Midyear Workshops is available at links from the OOPSLA'98 Midyear Workshops page at http://www.acm.org/sigplan/oopsla/oopsla98/midyear/ . This should be an extremely valuable conference for participants because of the focus on real world applications and problems. The three day format will encourage detailed discussions and interactions. The proceedings of the Workshops will be made available on the Web and should provide a useful resource to the object community.
