An Evening at Science World

Wednesday evening -- 7:00-10:00 p.m.

OOPSLA'98 will have exclusive use of Science World.  This hands-on science centre features hundreds of interactive exhibits.  Permanent galleries explore themes such as biology, earth sciences, and physics.  Exciting temporary exhibitions from around the world are featured.  In the 3-D laser theatre, special effects come alive in shows about science and nature.  As always at an OOPSLA event, delicious food will also be a main event.  Transportation will be provided by bus or SkyTrain.   Check with the conference hotels for the schedule.

Farewell Social

Thursday afternoon -- 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre
Exhibit Hall C

All full (and Thursday one-day) conference registrants are invited to a Farewell Social.  The Social is a good place to take one last look at the DesignFest results, to say goodbye to colleagues, and to make plans to attend OOPSLA'99 next year in Denver, Colorado.
