About the Author

Kevin Rasmus is a methodology consultant and architect at Country Companies Insurance in Bloomington, Illinois. He began working with object-oriented software and artificial intelligence languages in 1988. From 1990 - 1995, he was in charge of defining, and training on, the company's object-oriented methodology. In 1994, he began working on development environments that support high levels of reuse. Analysis/design using business patterns, with code generation based on these patterns, is a foundation item for this reuse environment. He is currently working on externalized business rules under IBM's Component Broker product.
