Posters Posters cover the same interest areas as the Technical Papers and Practitioner's Reports, but differ in manner of presentation. They are presented in a visual format designed to encourage informal interaction between authors and attendees. As a result they are especially appropriate for work that is preliminary or of not sufficient generality for a Technical Paper. Posters are presented during a conference reception, and are on display throughout the conference in a high-traffic area. Successful Posters will have strong visual impact combined with careful information design to convey project details. Two-page abstracts summarizing the Poster will appear in the OOPSLA Companion. Posters Submission Guidelines Demonstrations Have you written a nifty business application that really leverages OO? Implemented OO in hardware? Figured out how to more efficiently dispatch a message? Built a new typing system? Combined OO with other approaches? Created a new language as a research project? Proved OO does not work? Found a new paradigm? If you want to show your work to an audience that could appreciate its technical aspects, then this is the opportunity to do so. The OOPSLA demonstrations program is the place where you can show off real implementations of the technology without worry about its commercial aspects. We are looking for real life demonstrations of Object Oriented technology. Anything goes as long as you can demonstrate it in about 20 minutes and in real life. However, you must be able to answer all the detailed technical questions about your demonstrations that your audience may ask. And, to keep the demonstrations focused, no product marketing will be allowed in this forum. Acceptance will be based on the relevance of the proposal to OO and on the "thrill" level expected of these demonstrations. Demonstrations Submission Guidelines
